Where to ride a Onewheel in Shenzhen

Shenzhen is flat, green and lined with smooth waterfront paths, which makes it one of the best cities in Asia to ride a Onewheel. These are the routes we ride ourselves.

1. Shenzhen Bay Coastal Path

15 km · Easy

A smooth, flat 15 km path along the bay from Shekou to Futian, with views of Hong Kong across the water. Best at sunset. Weekends get busy, so ride early.

2. Talent Park Loop

3 km · Easy

A wide waterfront loop in Houhai surrounded by Shenzhen’s skyline. Great for practising carves and lit up beautifully at night.

3. Shekou Sea World Waterfront

4 km · Easy

Cafés, bars and a long promenade popular with Shenzhen’s international community. A relaxed ride with plenty of places to stop.

4. OCT Loft & Overseas Chinese Town

6 km · Moderate

Tree-lined streets, galleries and gentle slopes. A fun ride for XR riders linking up with the Shenzhen Bay path.

Local riding tips

  • Ride on park paths and greenways, not on motorways or busy roads.
  • Slow down and give way to pedestrians, especially on weekend evenings.
  • Summer is hot and humid: ride in the morning or after sunset and bring water.
  • Avoid riding in heavy rain. Wet tiles and paint lines get slippery.
  • Wear a helmet. Bring your own, as helmets are not included.
