Onewheel rental FAQ
Do I need experience to rent a Onewheel?
No. Every rental includes a free 15-minute lesson at pickup. Most people ride confidently within 10 minutes. We recommend the Pint for first-timers.
What is included in the rental?
A fully charged board, a charger and a free 15-minute lesson at handover. Helmets are not included, so we recommend bringing your own.
How do I pay? Do I need a Chinese bank card?
No Chinese bank account needed. You pay online in USD with Visa, Mastercard, Amex, JCB, Apple Pay or Google Pay through our secure checkout.
Do you deliver, or do I pick up the board?
Choose when you book. Self pickup is free at our spot in Nanshan District, Shenzhen, near Shenzhen Bay Park, at the time you pick. Or we deliver the board to your hotel or home and collect it at the end: $15 in Nanshan, Futian and Luohu, $25 in other districts. After payment we message you to confirm the exact place and time.
How does pricing work for multiple days?
You pay a daily rate per board. Rentals of 3 days or more get 10% off, and 7 days or more get 20% off. The discount is applied automatically at checkout.
Is there a deposit?
Yes, a refundable security deposit is paid together with the rental: $200 for the Pint, $250 for the Pint X and $300 for the XR and XRC. We refund it in full within 24 hours of the board coming back undamaged. At handover we also check your passport and take a photo of it, as rental shops do worldwide.
Can I cancel or change dates?
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before your start date for a full refund. Date changes are free subject to availability. If the board you booked is unavailable we refund you in full.
Where can I ride a Onewheel in Shenzhen?
Our favourite spots are the Shenzhen Bay coastal path, Talent Park, Shekou Sea World waterfront and the OCT Creative Park area. Stay off motorways and busy roads, and slow down around pedestrians. See our Shenzhen riding guide for routes.
